Progress on the SRO’s!

The pictures shown is  the progress on the Single Room Occupancy Home that we are building on Hyacinth Street in North Fort Myers, FL.  Everyone is so excited that we are finally building again. Hurricane Irma threw us for a loop, the cost to build went up exponentially  and finding a reliable contractor to start the project after the Hurricane was a challenge however we were persistent and now we are underway! Tobler Construction signed on and the project is underway, stay tuned for more photos to come!

The properties we are building on were donated through  the National Community Stabilization Trust land and home donation program to insure affordable housing is developed this particular lot had a home on it but was a Foreclosure and it was torn down before we received it. This property was donated by Wells Fargo Bank to the Trust for a Donation back to us, what a great program! Thanks to Lee County CDBG & HOME & SHIP Funds and the W.K. Kellogg’s Foundation and Arlon Elser and his family for helping make this dream come true and for helping those in need!
